Many individuals in the direct selling industry live extremely busy lives. For many, direct selling is not their only source of income. Many direct sellers have full time jobs, a spouse, kids, volunteer for various organizations, the list goes on. Direct selling itself can be considered a full time job depending on how devoted you are to your home based business. Here are some ways to help you manage your time as a direct seller to ease your stress:
1. Make a list. Many times we have a long, overwhelming list of tasks to accomplish in one day. Start by writing down a list of everything you need to do on a sheet of paper. While the list may appear long and stressful, this will prevent you from forgetting certain tasks. You will also feel accomplished when you are able to cross each task off your list and physically visualize your progress.
2. Stay focused. With a long list of tasks to accomplish, it is common for you to want to take a break and say “I’ll do it tomorrow.” John Maxwell states, “If you give 50% today, you can’t give 150% tomorrow.” Why be lazy and shorten your list today, just to make your list tomorrow twice as long? You will feel way more accomplished at the end of your day if you get everything done that was on your list.
3. Caffeine. For all my coffee lovers, many of us rely on this as our fuel. When you have a busy day ahead, this can definitely come in handy. Have a cup of coffee (or six cups) to give you some energy to get those tasks done. Not a coffee drinker? A cup of tea or hot chocolate will suffice. Even just going on a morning jog or doing some cardio will help wake yourself up in the morning. The endorphins will allow you to feel awake and accomplished.
